However, I took off a star because of the mounting design. It is advertised as a "flush mount" fan, but once installed, there is a noticeable gap where it meets the ceiling—so it’s not quite as flush as you would expect. Also, a heads-up for anyone looking to buy: due to the specific way this hardware mounts close to the ceiling, it is absolutely not suitable for a sloped or vaulted ceiling. It needs a completely flat surface. If you have a flat ceiling and don't mind a slight gap at the top, it's a solid, attractive fan.
