I like these curtains but I knocked off one star because the background is a cool white and the description led me to believe that the would be more warm cream or light beige. (Cream bowl for comparison) I think that they will work in my room. Surface of the material is ever so slightly shiny and slippery, definitely a polyester feel. I wasnt sure about these when I first opened the packages. The smell was so strong that I had to put them in the wash immediately (watch out for crazy amounts of fuzz from the chenille!). The pattern is also printed on, not embroidered, and I thought it might look tacky. They came out of the wash pretty wrinkled even though I took them out right away, and the instructions say not to iron. And after all that - I really love them! Very nice, love the colors and design. Very thick quality material. I actually purchased 1 panel(50x96) to make into a valance for my 60" window in bathroom. I used the 96" length side to hang horizontally using wooden rings. Then i folded/pinned back several inches and hand sewed & steamed and I think looks great! I couldn't find many if any valances I liked for 60" window so had the idea to buy drape panel of pattern i liked and make my own! Didn't have to cut. I may in future change to a tie-up valance.
