[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Toasting is really fast, which I appreciate, especially in the mornings. The four slots are wide and adapt well to different types of bread. I also like that you can choose to use two slots or just one, and adjust the settings depending on whether you want lighter or darker toast. Cleaning is easy since it has two crumb trays on the sides. The toaster feels sturdy and well made. It is a bit heavy, but I actually like that because it doesn’t feel cheap. The sleek stainless steel look is a nice touch and looks good on my kitchen counter. Pretty nice toaster!. Moncherrybee_2087. Mon Dec 15 2025

I originally had the Nostalgie I bought a little over two years ago. I had a lot of trouble, such as loud ventilations fans (that sounded like an emergency broadcast signal), uneven cooking, temperature swings of over 100 degrees, not all burners working, and misaligned doors that resulted in the small oven door opening whenever the large oven door was opened. All these problems have been fixed. The ventilation fans are super quiet. The burners work great. The temperature is even throughout (baking a cake was the test) and the oven temp is rock solid (I didn't even see the temperature change at all during the 15 minutes that I was monitoring it with a temperature probe.) Of course the great thing that hasn't changed about the Nostalgie is its looks, which has always been the case and is obvious just by looking at the photo. I highly recommend the Nostalgie II - saves a lot of money over the La Cornue or Aga with just as much beauty and functionality.. Kent. New Hampshire. Mon Sep 22 2025
