I purchased two of these to put them outside in my backyard. I left them in the pot it came with and put them in larger pots with more rocks on top. When it gets super windy I remove the top half of the palms so they won't get damaged. I live in Southern Utah so we'll see how they survive the summer sun. This set of 2 phoenix palm trees is absolutely beautiful. I ordered the 84” x 65” trees. The leaves are good quality and the husk at the base of the fronds connecting to the trunk looks very realistic. The trunk itself looks like plastic somewhat but you cannot tell from a distance. Actual palms are notoriously difficult to keep alive. I went through 2 of them before finally deciding to go artificial—one of the best decisions regarding houseplants, especially here in Seattle where there’s limited sunlight a lot of the year. This artificial palm looks so good in my space. It was easy to set up and manipulate. You can arrange exactly the way you want with no issues. It looks very realistic too!
