Works great! Most pet steps are not built for long dogs (dachshunds). These work great for her to get onto the couch and it folds up to an ottoman or seat when needed. The carpet on the steps is just stapled down so that looks a little cheap. But I would most definitely still buy it again. Sue. US. Tue Sep 22 2026

The innovative incline of each step reduces the number of stairs needed to climb eliminating stress on your pet. The carpet tread removes easily and is machine washable. The stair easily snaps together (no tools required).

It was just what I was looking for, for my 4 lb yorkie! I have a 32" high bed and the top step comes right up to it! After getting a few pieces of cooked chicken out, she was trained and using it by herself in all of about 15 minutes! No tools to deal with and my husband and I had it put together in no time. Hint: We used a small rubber hammer to knock the pieces in the holes. At first I thought the price was too high, but now I'm glad I spent the money.. Carol. Hazen, AR. Tue Jan 21 2025

It's very well built for the price. Sadly, my dog needs another 4" to be 30". He keeps falling off. It might be a bit narrower than we need for this old boy.. Sherri. Tucson, AZ. Sat Sep 26 2026

Does your furred friend have a tough time getting up to the top of your bed or couch for a good snuggle? Adding a pet staircase like this is a great option for helping them reach a place they can't quite leap to. Crafted in the USA from solid red oak, this staircase features carpeted steps perfect for making sure those paws don't slip. Panel accents on the sides and a deep neutral stain lend this piece a traditional look.

I bought these stairs for my 20 lb cat who has arthritis and has pain jumping down from the bed. I originally looked at stairs made specifically for cats, but they didn’t seem sturdy enough to support him. These stairs are sturdy, well made, and have held up great. The carpet has also held up really well. My cat uses them every single time he gets off the bed. I would definitely recommend these for anyone with a larger cat (or small dog).. Jessica. USA. RV Steps with Handrail, RV Stair, Mobile Home Stairs for Camper, Trailer, hot tub, Steps with Non-Slip mat, 660lbs Capacity

This staircase is just what I needed to access the upper level of my attic. I’m giving it five stars because it is very sturdy and I feel safe going up and down the stairs. Every screw hole lined up perfectly. The directions are a little tricky to follow, but if you have any experience at all putting things together, you’ll be able to figure it out. I will say that it took several hours to put together with two people. It isn’t difficult, but the screws are long and so they take more time to install. But that just makes it more sturdy.. Diane. Cat Gate for Doorway, Auto Close Pet Gate with Extension Kits, No Drilling Pressure Mounted Dog Gate for Stairs, Doorways, Kitchen, Hallway

Originally we purchased this 51 tall gate to keep 3 curious cats away from 2, 25lb foster boston terriers. Our smallest cats tries, but cant squeeze through the 1 12 spaces between the bars and the wall. Turns out one of the dogs can jump that high and touch the top of the gate. Thankfully, we keep the dogs contained in a room with a lower floor, adding 8. Lesson-Make sure to get the best height. Only complaint is there is no leverlatch at the bottom to keep the gate swinging in just one direction, like other gates we have. We fear a strong enough pup can ram the bottom open without that latch.. Melanie. PA. Thu Oct 15 2026

With a super-tall 74-inch height, this gate effectively keeps cats and large dogs from jumping over, while the narrow 1.37-inch bar spacing keeps small pets from squeezing through. Designed for everyday ease, it features one-handed operation and swings open 90 degrees in either direction—and closes automatically when opened at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Installation is quick and simple, with dual mounting holes for extra stability, and it fits door frames up to 96.5 inches high. Wall protectors prevent damage to your walls, and the adjustable width (30.3–38.2 inches/30.3-47.2 inches) ensures a snug, custom fit for your doorway. This versatile pet gate is perfect for doorways, stairways, and more—keeping your pets safely contained wherever you need them.

I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. However, since I had no problem with the metal parts during the month I’ve used it, no deducted star there, either.. Janice. Durant, OK. Wed Jun 24 2026

Has helped with getting my dogs on and off the bed without them hurting themselves by jumping off. We had to teach them how to use the stairs as they had never used them before so that took a little while, but eventually they got the hang of it. The only con of these stairs is that they’re a little wobbly and don’t have much hold on the back other than placing them against the bed. Would have liked a little more sturdiness to them, so the dogs felt a little more safe.. Melissa. IL. Sun May 13 2018
