They do come with adjusters on the bottom of the legs. Putting them together was simple, but have to admit having a 2nd person help hold in place, while adding screws made the job go faster. Assembling the back was a pain since it is “floating” so you do need to loosen the screws to maneuver the legs of the chair outward and squeeze in the back.
