It feels substantial and sturdy, and the shelving underneath gives us tons of extra storage. Assembly took about 2 hours with two people, but the instructions were straightforward and the finished product was definitely worth the time. It is not real wood, so I would be careful with the surface—I wouldn’t place hot pans directly on it or set drinks down without a coaster. That said, it looks and feels like a much more expensive piece of furniture once assembled. We are using ours as a homeschool craft and project table, and it is PERFECT for that! I think the wood is airbrushed It looks nice, is real wood, and when assembled is SOLID. The top unfortunately isn’t stone, ifs plastic, I’ll need to buy a countertop wrap for it. Assembly was a pain but worth it. The drawers don’t come all the way out. I’ll need to fix the drawers with other hardware, they only come half way out, and I’ll need to buy more wood to build a pan storage like I saw on another review. This thing is great!
