We opted to set up the table at normal table height, but it comes with extra risers if you’d prefer to set it up at counter height. The table also includes a leaf to extend the table so it is a square - instead of rectangular. Loved the white glove delivery service. They set it up as a square and then took the leaf out. Absolutely beautiful, black, solid wood table! It is not engineered wood or cheap MDF. Very easy to assemble. Just add the four legs. One of the two support pieces that go on the underside of the table came unattached during shipping but it was easy to rescrew it back into place.
