Still waiting on the chairs for this table. The base is heavy and the wood is excellent quality. I wish the tabletop were about an inch thicker, as it is quite thin with a very thick/dense base which throws off the aesthetics a bit. The Prestow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Lift and unfold the extension piece to create the additional length. Why not pair these with any of our matching wooden cross back chairs for a sleek look? Available in either white and gray, cream and oak or oak. This product is real wood and so it will age, which can result in colour variations.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. Table is a little darker than the picture, which is ok. The table arrived with some damage. The package arrived torn and retapped on one end - one of the table legs has a good size chip damage at the bottom and one of the pre-drilled screws on the leg does not tighten up…it only keeps pulling out of wood.
