kit# 2 luxury shower surrounds for the DIY enthusiast in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight, easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skill saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate you can use a Dremel tool, miter, etc. We suggest using Loctite power grab ultimate adhesive or boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls but compatibility to the other substrates might need testing. We suggest using 100% clear silicone to glue the trim to the panels. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel, applying circle blobs of caulking about 6”-8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” continuous bead around the panel outside edges to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.

The shower walls look great! The only thing I don’t like is the corner strips. I wasn’t home when my installer put them in. He said it was very difficult to put them in and it would have been easier to just put a bead of silicone, but he put them in because they came with the kit. I wish he hadn’t put the corner strips in. They make strips make it look more like they are acrylic walls. It would have looked better without them. Also I can’t fit a corner shelf in because of them. Delivery was also an issue. The walls were over a week late which delayed the project. But overall I am happy with the walls. The panels are a bit quicker and easier to install than traditional tile options and much more appealing than anything fiberglass. The finished product looks great and appears easy to clean. I would suggest buying the Choreograph bathroom shelf accessories. They look nice perform and perform well but also really helped to 'lock-down' the panels during the installation process. If you do go with the shelf accessories, be sure to added continuous solid blocked (use 2x8 or 2x10 between your wall framing. It is also a great idea to write the height range and then immediately take a picture of it with your cell phone. It eliminates the need to land on studs and gives you plenty of flexibility determining height while giving you a rock solid surface to screw into. Install took about 4hrs with a helper and I would strongly recommend buying some of the suction lift handles. I picked up a couple from Northern Tool for about $8/grip and it was well worth it for moving the panels around. The last recommendation is make sure your walls are nice and plumb. My alcove from new construction and correctly framed but I suspect a less 'perfect' wall would make adhering the panels much tougher.. Steve. VA. Sun Jul 03 2016

The glass is surprisingly thick and beautiful. The handles and tracks are sturdy and thick enough. It came unbroken (better than the toilet I ordered last month!) and the pieces are all here. I'm debating whether to tackle this myself or hire a handyman. But it looks beautiful and I'm afraid any issues will be my own installation mistakes from here on. Just put it up. Did it almost all myself,and as a first timer. Just needed my 13 year old to screw the wheels into the 2nd door while I held it up. Instructions suck of course, but I watched a couple videos by people putting in similar ones. Made a few minor mistakes along the way, but all were fixable. Ended up looking great, and fitting PERFECTLY. Just had to measure 5 times and cut... twice in some cases. But always started conservative. You DEFINITELY need a power cutting tool, not a hacksaw, on the top bar. I bought steel cutting discs for my grinder and even that took 3 batter charges. I tried a hacksaw for a few minutes and it hardly made a notch in it. That would take all week. Here's a tip...if any risk of missing the wood studs, add more wood in the wall before tiling. We are midway through a renovation so we aren’t 100% done with the install, but this is a fantastic door! I was super worried about ordering a door online with large glass panels. It came quickly and was very well packaged. No scratches, chips or dings. And this thing is Heavy!!!! some shower doors wiggle so much because they’re light. This is a good solid shower base. It was generally square and straight although the front edge was a bit bowed out. It doesn’t come with a drain so keep that in mind.
