This is a good solid shower base. It was generally square and straight although the front edge was a bit bowed out. It doesn’t come with a drain so keep that in mind. Easy to install ,nice door ,my opinion i would stay closer to the 48 inch size opening like 46 to48 ,i know it only another 2 inches to the 44 inches it says it can fit but it doesn't leave alot of room for the opening , it will work just suggest the person using the shower be on the smaller side..
