This is a lovely piece to compliment an empty wall space. However, there are a few things we were a little disappointed with. The instructions say it's easy to put together, and should be done in an hour. Maybe for the professionals. For my husband, and I (yes you do need 2 people to assemble), it took over two hours. The instructions are all in pictures, and no words so while it was easy to figure out what went where, we still had to double check we were using the correct amount of hardware for each piece. We assumed it was only for pieces to put together. Not the case- it's more than 4, less than 20. Also usually furniture comes with 'caps' to lay over the screws so it looks finished. There were no 'caps' included. So while the end product is quite lovely, we will be very careful if we order again since we do not want to have to put anything together. Good looking console perfect for behind my sofa. Was able to put it together by myself without difficulties. The tricky part was aligning the shelves with the double-sided sticking tape, which I achieved by reusing parts of the packaging (probably something to address in subsequent printings of the instructions...). This piece is beautiful. Very difficult to assemble, if just one person is doing the job. I found it a lot easier to assemble in reverse, after all shelves were finished. Its a much faster process. This is the a great addition to my entry way. I even want to line the inside so you can put shoe when you first enter my house.
