Many parts in the first couple of steps are located inside a box, inside the main part of the grill. I did not see them until I was further into the assembly. But overall, the assembly was fairly simple, and the directions were clear and easy. We just used our new grill for the first time this past weekend. The heat distribution is different than our last grill, but Ill get the used to the new heating optio soon enough. Again, great looking unit once set up. Nice grill for the money. I've had it about a month and cooked on it almost every day this summer. Little flimsy in some places and it shipped w out a lid handle so I'm giving it 4/5 stars.
