Quality is pretty low, but so is the price. It LOOKS good, but the finish is razor thin sticker material. And the MDF is not that durable. This door beautifully serves the need I had to separate a den from the dining room to provide overnight guests more privacy. It has a nice finish and is solid enough to provide a bit of sound deadening between the two rooms. My installer did note the lack of a dado cut in the door for the track, so he didn’t notice that a particular end should have been “up” - so I think he mounted it upside down (the door’s cross panel is about 5” deep on one end and 7” on the other). Not a big enough deal visually for me to have the door re-mounted, but an indicator for which end was intended to be the top of the door would have been nice. The door doesn’t come with handles but I was able to find finger flush-mount and loop handles that worked beautifully. The door is made solid enough to screw handles into it.. Caryn. Seattle, WA. Nice door! We added a white piece of wood for the top rail to mount on. Warning, door itself comes in multiple pieces that need to be put together. Luckily the hubby is handy. Not overly difficult but not expected. Also there is a thin protective film over entire door that needs removing. Nothing in instructions says to remove, but finish is MUCH nicer without it.. These turned out beautifully but I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take to get them to this point. I struggled to get these to stain as dark as I wanted. I tried just staining them at first and then had to go back and sand them down to get them to stain darker. Wow!. I've purchased and installed other barn doors; however, we love this one the best! Light weight, easy to assemble as well as personalize & customize. Since we have some painted gray shiplap on our fireplace in our bedroom, we elected to use the same gray color for the panel inserts which have a shiplap appearance and left the other pieces white to blend in with the door frame trim. We think the finished product came out great! And, using a barn door in lieu of a traditional hinged door solved an interference problem for us. Bought this for my Dad's modern farmhouse and it just brought everything together. Well-made and absolutely a stunning statement piece. The blue wood is so pretty in person and matched the blue-gray leather couches.
