I chose Polywood for no maintenance, heavyweight, and longevity. I assembled this myself. No issues. Best advice is to not tighten all the screws so you are able to move pieces a little while assembling. Then go through and tighten all when complete. Followed instructions. All hardware included. I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. After a month of moderate usage in a sun-light/UV protected space, by 2 people w/no animals i will unfortunately have to change the initial 4.5 star rating to a 2.5 star rating for the following reasons: 1) the chair back & w/recliner extended is designed to comfortably accommodate a person under 5'9" - works for me at 5' but not my husband @ 6'. 2) the recliners foot-leg rest only extends to full-out - there is no partial or 1/2 way for the leg extension. 3) on both chairs, the leather on the head-rest & seat-back & the seat cushions very quickly/prematurely began drooping/sagging, wrinkled & starting to show a crack/split appearance (that is not due to years of age as would be expected) and is only getting worse over time. The price-point for these at the time was reasonable & on paper the 'look' & description of them seemed to be the perfect fit to enhance our Great Rooms furniture suite; unfortunately the quality of these recliners materials & the size/mechanical limitations are disappointing and will not meet the hoped for expectations for comfortability w/a quality handsome appearance or the quality of durability & long wear. - sv. I warred with getting these or the pedestal base, but due to replacing a bathtub with a unique plumbing layout, the feet were the best option if I needed to have my drain assembly facing the room.
