Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. These turned out beautifully but I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take to get them to this point. I struggled to get these to stain as dark as I wanted. I tried just staining them at first and then had to go back and sand them down to get them to stain darker. The wooden panel can junction with each other for a tight fit. 3. It is an unfinished barn door, and you can easily paint it as you wish. Please leave the door dry for at least 24 hours. 4. Super easy instructions to follow to build. At first receiving the boxes, I was uncertain getting the smaller box with the panels, thinking it might be low quality, but once it was together we were very pleased. I am a female , senior and was able to do assembly by myself surprisingly , very quickly. My husband hung this door for Our Customer and they absolutely loved it. This door beautifully serves the need I had to separate a den from the dining room to provide overnight guests more privacy. It has a nice finish and is solid enough to provide a bit of sound deadening between the two rooms. My installer did note the lack of a dado cut in the door for the track, so he didn’t notice that a particular end should have been “up” - so I think he mounted it upside down (the door’s cross panel is about 5” deep on one end and 7” on the other). Not a big enough deal visually for me to have the door re-mounted, but an indicator for which end was intended to be the top of the door would have been nice. The door doesn’t come with handles but I was able to find finger flush-mount and loop handles that worked beautifully. The door is made solid enough to screw handles into it.. Caryn. Seattle, WA.
