Very nice TV stand. But you have to be careful when installing the plug screws (screw in plugs that mate with metal pegs. If installed plug screws don't mate with the installed pegs, you may try installing the screws after aligning the pegs into the unit. The instructions could be better - all pictures, no words. A nice Brazilian made solid wood piece. Obrigado. One must follow the assembly illustrations carefully step by step , pay close attention to the details , lay everything out as shown. Be sure to have a good Philips head screw driver that fits the screw heads. Make sure to have a girthy ergonomic handle and a strong grip as you’ll be doing a lot of hand tightening. No screw guns !!! Also have on hand a small hammer to tap in dowels , I found Everything to line up perfectly. I also chose to glue dowels and wood joints. Have on hand a lightly damp cloth to wipe away excess glue if you go that route. The aesthetic is rustic , light brown with all natural characteristics showing , there is no polyurethane just a rustic raw Wood finish , I found all Pieces to be sanded and smooth. The center opening is 13.75”W x 14.5 h. Each opening behind the door is 13.5” x 14.5 hgt. I made the mistake of not measuring my Audio components oops , well that’s another story now. We have authentic from Mexico rustic furniture that is over 28 years old now which has aged but this piece compliments Just fine for a basement home Theatre set up. Our TV cabinet arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. It comes in two boxes and it is very heavy, so you might need two people to carry it in. The instructions were good and all the pieces were there, which isn't always the case, so very happy with that. It is not an easy assembly, but there are moving parts and a lot of smaller pieces, so that's not a surprise. At one point we needed two people to stabilize a section while tightening some screws, but for the most part, it's a one person job taking maybe 3-4 hours if you're not experienced. The look is nice. We got the light oak color and it's a little lighter than I expected, but looks good. The most important part is that it works perfectly. We haven't installed the TV yet, but the remote works and it slides up and down effortlessly. The only slight minus is that the remote has no instructions or directions. Overall very pleased with the purchase. This credenza fit my needs perfectly under my 42" TV to hold my heavy bookshelf speakers, printer and printer supplies underneath. Credenza looks more expensive than a particle board item should look! Pros: - All parts were padded nicely in the box with no scratches or dents - All parts were clearly marked. The fasteners were also clearly labeled with an extra item in each pouch. Nice touch! - All pre-drilled holes lined up correctly. The pieces were cut for a nice tight fit. No wobbles. - The instructions were large illustrations and easy to follow (Though it did take me about 3 hours to assemble it, taking my time and getting it right the first time (a first!) - The credenze is sturdy and heavyweight for what it is. - The back panel is also wood. Many items like this cheap out on cardboard. Cons: -The screws holding the door hinges are tiny wood screws which can strip in the particle board easily. I see this as an early failure point. - I could not get the doors to perfectly line up.
