I’m very happy with this desk! I’m a fairly tall lady (5’10”) and it gets more than tall enough for me to use while standing. Setup took around 3 hours with 2 people (granted we’re not very building savvy) and instructions were fairly cleareasy to follow. When it came to the “use a box for support” part of the manual, we just used throw pillows and it worked fine. Everything was packaged very thoughtfully and the quality of the desk feels very sturdy. I really do love this desk for the most part, but there are a few things that lost it a star. First, the storage is pretty low quality for the price. The drawers are just cardboard on the bottom and they don’t soft close or anything. The shelving on the other side is kind of dumb also - they’re not big enough to fit anything but small planners or something like that. Partly my fault for not looking at those dimensions, but I just assumed I could keep books there. And finally, putting this desk together is pretty difficult alone. I’ve put together a lot of furniture on my own, and I know what I’m doing, but this took like 6 hours. And I think one of those hours was just lining up the desk too with all the tiny holes to screw it on lol would be much easier with help. Now for positives - the desk looks really good and works really well! The desktop is sturdy and high quality, and the presets are very easy to set and use. There’s plenty of room underneath for your chair or a walking pad. Overall, the desk is pretty nice. The directions were really easy in regards to putting it together. It feels really sturdy. Being incredibly careful if you use a drill to put the screws into the desk itself as the particle board is very soft. This was more than likely an us thing since we used a drill versus the tools it came with as the drill disintegrated some of the particleboard. The size of this desk is great. It is sleek and I was searching for one with this size that also had drawers. (Although the drawers don't slide well and get stuck and need a wiggle to get closed.) The charging ports on the top of the desk are a really nice added touch. The monitor stand is not fixed, which I couldn't tell from the description prior to ordering, so it was nice to be able to remove it or add it back. We're still deciding if we want it. Taking off one star for the drawers not sliding well and for the fact the instructions and trouble shooting are not specific to this desk. We accidentally managed to get the desk in "Lock" mode where it would not go up or down and there was nothing in the instructions about our control panel (instructions were for a different control panel.) However Wayfair's great customer service came through. Within 12 hours of contacting them I had a response from the manufacturer about how to resolve the "Lock" position. Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors.
