We LOVE this table. It's incredibly stable and sturdy, in spite of it's airy look. We did have help putting it together only because we're a little older and this is a very heavy table. But, that is exactly why we picked this one. We didn't want a table that moved around or tipped easily. Because the top is so heavy, it did get a small amount of damage during shipping because it broke through the packing at the bottom of the box, so the bottom edge of the table got a little scuffed. The Prestow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Available in either white and gray, cream and oak or oak. This product is real wood and so it will age, which can result in colour variations.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this.
