This set is not an heirloom piece by any means, but for the sale price and our particular needs (light use, able to sit 6+ people without a huge footprint), we are pleased. Arrived quickly (3 days) in two large boxes delivered together. Assembly was very straightforward. The quality isn’t superb and the materials will chip/dent easily, but the pros outweigh the cons for us, especially since this set will not be used daily. It’s hard to find an uncomplicated set that has clean lines, easy to pull out chairs for dusting, and vacuuming/mopping floors underneath, while still looking quite formal and elegant. The assembly instructions don’t tell you how to insert the gold pieces, so I’m sharing the trick here. You won’t be able to push in the gold pieces with your fingers and the holes will seem too small, but the pieces will fit - you have to use a mallet. Tilt the piece and use your mallet to gently tap in one edge of the piece so that it lodges crookedly in the hole. Awesome that it comes pre-made already, so once you pull it out of the box, it’s ready to be used. Super easy to latchunlatch and extendcompress the bench. Both my partner and I sat on the bench while it was fully extended and it was very study. Although it was packaged pretty well, my item still came damaged on the bottom. Okay so it is absolutely gorgeous. But it is a picture of the wood color on top of basically really heavy plywood. The seats and bench and legs of the table are solid wood very sturdy. The bench is screw on legs where the chairs you had to do a few more steps. Which were easy. You do need a power tool to put the chairs together. The packages mg could have been better but I was lucky that it didn’t get damaged even though some of the boxes came shredded. I knew it was going to take a few weeks to ship and it actually came a few days earlier than expected. It comes in 5 boxes so if you think you’re missing something make sure you have all the boxes first. Really happy with the purchase. Wish it was true solid wood but the plywood or type of wood is really heavy and solid with the printed wood finish is done really well so I’m still happy with my purchase. Hope this helps.. Julie.
