I only deed the 2 shelf bookcase. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were clear. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. It looks nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper. I just put this together, but it appears to be a well-made product. It was fairly easy to assemble (I did it alone). There are extra holes drilled into the side beams so you can vary the shelving height. I chose to install them as shown in the photo. I wish that the little hooks they provide could be attached to the top shelf instead of right in the middle. I can't see myself using them since anything hanging from those hooks will be pretty close to the floor. First the item is very heavy in the box. If you are by yourself, I recommend getting help or open the box where it's at and bring it in piece by piece. As far as assembly went, it was by far one of the easier pieces this self-proclaimed DIY expert has done. Make sure you have a decent sized space to work with. There is some hammering needed for the frame. It comes with a small mallet but if you have a regular sized rubber mallet, I encourage you to use it. Depending on your height you may need a step ladder. I'm 5'2 and was able to put this together in just under 2 hours. The shelf is made of MDF and PVC tubes. Just turn and twist the tubes against the panels and tighten them. The panels have rounded edges to prevent cuts and injuries.
