The philodendron Congo Rojo is an attractive warm weather plant that produces showy flowers and interesting leaves. It gets the name rojo from its new leaves, which unfurl in a deep, shiny red. As the leaves mature, they fade to a burgundy green color. Caring for a philodendron Congo Rojo is very easy, as long as you keep it warm. The plant is very cold sensitive and will suffer serious damage below 40 F. (4 C.). While it can tolerate short periods of extreme heat, it will also have trouble if exposed to temperatures over 100 F. (38 C.) for too long. Its ideal temperatures are between 76 and 86 F. (24-30 C.) during the day and between 65 and 72 F. (18-22 C.) at night. As members of the philodendron family, Red Congos prefer bright indirect light, though they can adjust to medium levels of light as well. Keep them out of harsh direct sunlight, as too much of it can burn their leaves. Let your Red Congo dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when topsoil is dry, usually once a week. Avoid overwatering, and note that your watering schedule may be less frequent during winter months. Native to South America, the Congo Rojo is different from many other philodendrons in that it doesnt have a climbing or vining habit. Growing instead in a self-heading manner, it grows both outward and upward, peaking at about 2 feet (61 cm.) in height and 2 feet (76 cm.) in width. Its flowers are very fragrant and come in shades of red, green, and white.

Light: Philodendrons prefer bright indirect sunlight but can grow in lower light conditions. If your home doesn't have enough natural light, use LED grow lights for 8-10 hours a day as a supplement. Philodendron Moonlight is a hybrid variety of philodendron.Moonlight is very popular and easy to care house plants. This philodendron is low growing and shrub-like tropical plant. However, over time, it can grow quite large around 20-24-inch-high and 20-26 inch wide. Philo moonlight has light-green foliage meanwhile the new leaves is in a bright yellow-green chartreuse colour. Apart from that Its foliage tends to get coarser with age and its leaves become more prominently ribbed. Same as other Philodendron, it appreciates moderate lighting. This philodendron is easy to care for and grow indoors as a houseplant. It appreciates bright, indirect light; well-draining soil; and regular watering. While the philodendron micans does produce flowers in the wild, it is extremely rare for them to flower indoors and when they do, the blooms are fairly insignificant compared to their brilliant foliage. The philodendron micans enjoys bright to medium indirect light. Avoid prolonged periods of direct sunlight as it can burn the delicate leaves, causing discoloration and crispy edges. This tropical aroid requires an airy, moist, well-draining soil mixture that is rich in organic matter. While it can technically survive in a standard potting soil, the philodendron micans will thrive in a custom soil mix designed to meet its needs. Water your philodendron micans once the top 2-3 inches of the soil have dried out. Another easy way to tell if your micans needs water is to check the leaves: once it is thirsty the leaves will start to droop and curl inwards slightly. Native to tropical environments, the philodendron micans thrives in warm temperatures and humid conditions. Typical household temperature levels are more than adequate for the philodendron micans, just ensure that you keep your plant away from any cold, drafty windows or air vents.
