I had installed a medallion when we replaced our chandelier. I was disappointed because the medallion was too small for the fixture. This ceiling ring was perfect to give the illusion of a larger medallion without having to start over! It would also be useful when the medallion you love is too small for what you need- more intentional than was my case. Calculating the size I needed was the tricky part! With the medallion, this ring, and the ceiling between the two painted the same color, it appears that I have a much larger medallion than I actually have. The ceiling medallion is much heavier than others I have purchased; I am sure it will require construction adhesive to keep it attached to the ceiling.
