The colors in this rug are lush and vibrant. The "pile" is very short and silky soft. I think it would not show stains as the pattern is so busy. It also seems like it would be easy to clean. I would worry just a little about the off-white binding on all edges which might show dirt. I like the backing which is not actually "non slip" but it isn't slick, either.
