I purchased two of these to put them outside in my backyard. I left them in the pot it came with and put them in larger pots with more rocks on top. When it gets super windy I remove the top half of the palms so they won't get damaged. I live in Southern Utah so we'll see how they survive the summer sun. I love these artificial palm trees. They look great on my porch by either side of my door. The top part, which includes the leaves and the trunk of the tree, slides into the base which is made of the other part of the trunk and the pot.
