It's lovely material, but the install was initially pretty (conceptually) tough. Screwed up with the adhesive and had to order another piece of this. The main thing that saved the final install was using a (cordless) nailer, which made it a lot easier. If you don't have one, recommend to borrow one from a friend (hopefully you already have one). If you don't use a nailer, try to find the least obtrusive finish nails / use a precision finish tool (not sure what it is called but it's a little thing you use with a hammer to push the nail heads deeper, but not so that you dent the moulding) to submerge the nail heads. When you paint this, also recommend to start with the little domes and really work around them so paint does not pool. Finish the rest of the paint job with swipes in parallel to the length of the 'board'. I ended up using four coats of paint...it was worth it. Your mileage may vary! I can’t say enough good things about Ekena. Every order has arrived quickly, perfectly packed, and in flawless condition. used only a few of the preformed corners purchased. A simple mitre cut cut produced a much easier and cleaner result. I had great difficulty in exactly aligning the preformed corners --- if not perfectly aligned, the joint becomes quite visible. As todays residential construction rarely produces an exact 90 degree corner and then a straight wall beyond, I found a simple mitre cut was the best and easiest thing to do.. Krystan A.
