I picked these stone veneers as they were neutral colored. I went back and painted a light white over the veneers and sponged the paint in. Added a wood frame and indirect lighting. Love the wall and am so happy with the overall look. I ordered 16 veneers in all so four packages. I laid them all out on the floor first to get a pattern that flowed. The veneers don’t all lay flat so I used a wood frame behind them and attached them to the frame with Brad nails. Easy to attach to frame and with the nails and you can pull them off and adjust if need be. Very easy to work with. I even had to cut 5” off the bottom row and super easy to cut with jigsaw. I was so excited about these, but they are not the reality I was hoping for. Many reasons made them disappointing. 1) They are hard to cut. 2) The bubbles are so deep that I have big gapping holes where the outlet and vent are. 3) It says you can get deep pieces for the outlet covers, but the spaces vary from 0 to 6”, so a box doesn’t help. 4) It says ready to paint or stain, but with what kind of paint we can not figure out. We even brought them to a paint store and they basically laughed at me when I said they were paintable. They sugggested a $30 quart bond to be painted on first, then a paint over that. I love the wall molding but was not easy or at least the way I installed was not easy so I gave it 4 stars. I glued them together first and then painted them the color of my wall. The next day I installed them. The larger piece came apart so the glue did not work so I nailed them to the wall.
