71" Reversible Executive Desk, Large Office Desk with Power Outlets

The dimensions of this desk are perfect for what I needed. Coming from a typical 24" deep desk, I felt cramped trying to use an ultrawide curved monitor because of how much room the stand takes up, so this is a huge improvement. Assembly took multiple hours, but was enjoyable. Everything is labeled and the instructions make sure to point out potential pitfalls. All of the steps are identical for the left and right configurations all the way up to the last few steps, so that was nice to experiment and see which way I wanted it before committing. My only complaint would be with the black parts of engineered wood. They seem particularly susceptible to damage at the corners, more so than even other engineered wood products I've had in the past. Makes me feel like I have to be extra careful around it or the laminate layer will start peeling off the front edge of the desk. UPDATE: I actually haven't had any problems with laminate peeling, so I upped my review to 5 stars! Side note: I ended up buying this model with the included file cabinet for a few bucks more because the similar model without it was out of stock in the color I wanted.. Michael. USA. Everything was labeled VERY well and instructions were easy to follow (my only complaint was that in 2 sections it makes a point to say particular holes are “facing out”, but the illustration has them facing in). I bought this desk a few years ago & am just now reviewing. Fun fact - I am typing this review from this exact desk. It's looking a bit warn these days, a few scratches in the surface & one banged up spot on the drawer where I have a habit of spinning my chair into. But for a simple home office, it works great. A lot of leg and/or storage space beneath the desk, one drawer & one cabinet built in, comes a part in two big pieces to move it, etc.. I’m giving this desk 4 stars because, while it is very spacious and offers plenty of room to work, I ran into several issues. I consider myself quite handy and enjoy putting furniture together, but the instructions were not the best. Additionally, one of the wooden planks arrived damaged. To make it fit my son’s bedroom layout, I had to reverse the configuration even though the desk isn’t designed to be reversible. Because of this, I had to place the angled plank upside down and couldn’t screw it into the metal frame however, this allowed the damaged part to face downward so it isnt noticeables. I was able to properly screw in the rectangular plank. While the metal frame is very sturdy and the desk provides a great amount of workspace, another downside is that fingerprints show up very easily on the wood.
