This has worked well for us. Way to out together and produces a great compost. One thing to note is that the compost can rest on the bottom ledge inside which can make it difficult to open the doors. The quality seems as excellent as you will see on reviews elsewhere. Only a week in for us now now and this thing is 'cooking.' Note that, as another review 'complained', the color delivered was green, not grey as pictured and described online. Thankfully I had read that review and was fine with either color. The color issue is for Wayfair customer service and shouldn't affect the product quality review. The way they show it installed on the side of the house is pretty troublesome too. The RSI-Maze 48-gallon (180-liter) geared compost twin tumbler and the RSI-Maze composting cart. A key feature of the composter is the two compartments which means you never stop composting. When the first compartment is full, you start on the second compartment. Once this side is full the first side is ready to empty, and the cycle continues. For larger families that create more compost material, the interior divider between the chambers can be removed to allow the entire composter to be used for single composting. The strongly reinforced barrel is UV protected and contains multiple air vents to promote aerobic decomposition. The large opening and sliding doors allow for the easy addition of waste and collection of ready compost. A unique feature is a gear and handle which ensures easier turning of the drum and the geared ratchet will automatically lock rotation in any position (a feature that is not seen in most compost tumblers at this price point and volume). The frame is powder-coated zinc and its open front design allows for easy access to a collection of ready-to-use compost from the barrel with plenty of room for a compost cart or bucket to slide in underneath. By rotating the door face down you are able to slide the door open and let the compost fall into the cart. The addition of the composting cart is designed for simple extraction of finished composting material and easy transportation to the location you as the customer are looking to use the material. It was out of stock for months and is seriously expensive so I knocked it down a star. At first, when I ordered it they said I wouldn't get it for several more months (we're looking at close to a year wait at this point) but it showed up just a week after my order went through. The composter itself looks sturdy though it's too new to tell for long-term durability. It was easy to put together. I had my heart set on THIS composter, and sadly couldn't find it anywhere else, trust me I looked. I planned to turn it into R2D2. Which I did. The body took the spray paint well. The shipment on this was pretty fast! they had two colors orange or green, I chose the green sorry about the inside pictures, but it had been running this is where I put it together. I like how it has a different sections. You can keep everything separated until you’re ready mix your compost. It has a terrific handle, that makes this really easy.
