The product is made of polyester fibers and coated on both sides with a specially formulated water-based, pressure-sensitive dry adhesive that will outperform pads coated with a plain polymeric-acrylic resin.

This photo is the rug and pad I purchased only had to trim pad to fit round rug which was useful cause I got to use it on some other rugs cut up pieces so I hold them in place and our floors are very cold so the pad was needed.
