I removed a star because this set was hard to put together with just one person even though I managed to do it over the course of a few days. TIP Make sure you connect the bars to frames 6 and 7 in the correct orientation or it won’t connect to the 8 frame correctly so don’t tighten the screws fully until you make sure thats correct, you can turn the bars to correct it if the screws are not tightened prematurely. The table is very sturdy and looks good. There is a seam in the center but I bought a short runner to cover it. Really happy with the product, seats seem sturdy also. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. It has a 1.25" thick high-pressure laminate top that's durable and easy to clean. The top has a long-lasting edge that won't crack or peel. The solid cast iron legs have leveling glides to prevent the table from wobbling on uneven floors. The center column base is 3" in diameter and is made of 16 gauge steel. Easy to assemble. Tops are hand-made and stained in the USA.
