[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an antique "Pedestal Base" cast Iron tub with a ceiling mounted curtain surround. The Locarno 36" Wallbar allows me to mount a hand held shower head which is typically found on this vintage tub. The Wallbar has a sliding cradle which supports the shower head at any height desired by the bather. The cradle locks at the chosen height by a quarter turn of a simple lever. The Wallbar comes with a 63" chromed flexible hose which connects to the tub diverter faucet valve at one end and to your favorite shower head on the other end. The shower head connection fitting on the hose is tapered and just drops easily into the sliding cradle. The Wallbar installation is straight forward. A drilling template is included for convenience and installation instructions are included, although they are fairly simple with little amplifying information, such as drill bit sizes etc. Locarno recommends a qualified plumber do the installation, but any "Handy" person with common household tools should be able to install it. Locarno also cautions that the Wallbar not be used as a hand hold as it is only secured to the wall by two (2) wood screws. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. Whoever uses the bathtub for bathing and showering would also want to be as flexible as possible when positioning the shower head. In the shower, hip height is sufficient as a lower limit; there you should perhaps opt for the 24" wallbar or you could go for a 36" wallbar depending on your needs. It brings incredible amounts of freedom of movement, making it perfect for families with children and grandparents. To help ensure that the shower hose is a perfect length it is included along with many bars.

I went to pick up the box off the patio... again, thinking these were probably some cheap light weight metal brackets, but the box was heavy! quite heavy. I brought them in and pulled them out of the box and was very surprised and pleased at the weight and quality of these brackets. We had spent a lot of money on a large under mount hand hammered copper metal sink and i was concerned about the weight of the sink being carried by just the cabinet. i found these online and took a shot at them. very stout piece of metal and nice construction. The RainDrain Match 23 5/8" drain trim (finish set) in matte black from hansgrohe is a flexible drainage solution for installation flush with the back wall or freestanding in the shower area. The shower drain trim's matte black finish goes particularly well with modern bathroom designs. Alternatively, the channel can be tiled at the back also (max. tile thickness 18 mm). The vertically adjustable frame offers flexibility in the drain barrier also: so the system can be adjusted to the height of the tiles – for floor-level installation without trip hazard. The result meets the requirements of a barrier-free shower area. The innovative high-tech silicone membrane also ensure that hair and dirt do not get stuck.
