Assembly could have gone smoother. My drill was too big, my screw driver was too big. Some holes werent pre drilled and yet, by time I put it together (which I didnt realize I was going to have to do) I absolutely loved it. I love how solid and sturdy the crate is. The wood does have a lot of very large knotholes on every side (not shown in the photos) but my main complaint is that I ordered the color “white” but when the item arrived it had no stain of any kind—it’s raw wood. I was expecting “white” to mean that a whitewashed or “pickled” stain was used instead of a dark finish like the other 2 options offered. This crate is perfect. The packaging protected the product during shipping. The instructions were easy to follow (not always the case with furniture). It took less than 30 minutes to build and it is solid, which is great because our dog is an escape artist! I was a little worried by the 1 star and 2 star reviews about the latching hardware not being good. PLEASE IGNORE THOSE! It is obvious that they missed an important step in the instructions regarding spring loaded latches for the inside of the left front gate.
