I want to love this so so much! It was easy to install and other than being tedious work to hang the crystals they were easy. It looks absolutely gorgeous, however as you can see, I did not expect that the room would be so dark above the light, I also did not realize the rest of the room would have the broken light pattern on it. I have never owned a chandelier so I was unaware of these effects. For those reasons I dropped a star off. But the fan is so awesome on this light and the light it gives to the floor is excellent as well. I also do not like that the remote for this light is black. I believe it completely throws off the aesthetics of the room. I will be hiding the remote behind something because no way do I want a black remote on the wall. I wish it was white (. Laura. This ceiling fan looks beautiful over the bed in our beach house. It is unique in the way that the rattan is in lines and is also done in a double layer like light. It has a ceiling fan that is attached to top of it and you use remote control to open the fan up and to close it. When it’s closed it just sits folded up at top. When you want to use it you push button and speed and it circulates and the blades unfold and open as it picks up speed. It looks amazing. Again. Very unique. Still looks coastal but also a more modern version of the coastal look as opposed to the older leaf like blades that have been around forever. The color is light and neutral so it goes with many things. You can put different types of bulbs in it as well as different shades of color. It went up easily and it seems to be made very well. This is a high quality fan light with good features. The light is adjustable in both brightness and warm/cool so I can set it exactly how I like it. Love that feature. It looks really beautiful in my bedroom. The fan puts off a very nice breeze and is very quiet. The downsides: my old traditional ceiling fan had separate switches for the fan and the light, and this fan doesn't work with the second separate fan switch. Also if you turn it off using the wall switch, it preserves the last light setting but not the fan setting, so you would have to turn the fan back on with the remote any time you use the switch.
