This counter-height 23'' dining table is the ideal center for meals and drinks in space-conscious homes and apartments. It features a square engineered wood top and a black steel base for a clean, geometric look. We love that its compact footprint works well in smaller spaces while still delivering bold style and solid function.

I ordered two of these tables for the hi-fi stereo components in my music studio. Both tables took about 45 minutes to assemble, but these days I am slow and meticulous about putting furniture together. I've bought a lot of "put together" furniture from Wayfair over the years. In order to make things go a bit faster and save my fingers and hands, a few years back I invested in a hex bit set from one of the big box home improvement stores. Once everything is lined up and the screws/bolts are started and all the parts are loosely in place, I tighten them up with my drill driver with the torque setting on a low setting like 2 or 3. The tables look okay, although the seem to have a bit of an industrial quality to them. They are functional, but not very pretty. They work for me and you can see in the photos I've included. The reason I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars is the packaging. Everything seems to fall out as you pull out the large pieces.
