Daughter loves her bed! It seems pretty sturdy. The negatives for me are the side opposite of the desk is unfinished, it just has black backing on the side so it limits where the bed can be placed from an aesthetic perspective it basically has to be in a corner if you don’t want to see the black backing side. This bed was very easy to build. I built it by myself with maybe an hour a little bit more than an hour. The instructions will clear on how to use all the materials that they packed into the back of the headboard. The only thing that wasn’t clear was where to put the slats when you were adding that in but again you can use your best judgment of where to add in the screws. Surprisingly, the bed almost looks like a full-size bed because of how spacious the room is. If you have a large bedroom and have been debating whether to upgrade to a king-size bed, consider this your sign to do it! Assembly was the only challenging part. It took about two hours to put together, and this is definitely a two-person job. There are quite a few slats that need to be installed, so be prepared to spend some time assembling it. However, once everything was put together, it was completely worth it. The bed feels very sturdy, looks high-end, and paired with our mattress, it is beyond comfortable. Took me about 1.5 hours to put together (I used a drill). Assembly is easy and clear. No damages to the box or bed frame on arrival. All parts were there. Mattress fits perfectly. The bed itself is very functional. Unfortunately either in the shipping or handling the box was either cut or damaged causing the piece that is the footboard to become damaged. It’s hardly noticeable and the trouble to return. It wouldn’t be worth it therefore, we decided to keep it and cover up the damage with bedding.
