Nice shower door I suppose. I’ve never installed a frameless one before. I did so as you can see from the picture. So far so good. 3/8” glass door feels substantial and it is indeed heavy. Having said that, I would strongly suggest the hinge side be mounted into wall stud. Dreamline provides the anchors and screws. But again, the U channel holds the hinge panel, and the top bracket actually handles the load. Fortunately for me on the rebuilding of the shower I triple studded that wall in preparation for a shower door. 4 stars because the directions are atrocious. They send you manuals for every door in several languages. It’s up to the home owner or installer to pick through the sections that apply. I think that’s cheap and ridiculous. Dreamline should also consider making model specific instructional videos for the buyers (put them online!) That would be extremely helpful. Lastly, the Allen wrenches supplied are quite feeble and cheap. I also recommend having your own hex tools available especially if you need to adjust the over-pivot screws in the hinge. We have the privilege of having my brother to be able to tackle our remodeling projects even if it will take time due to him living 6 hours from us. I was surprised when I received a call to verify the measurements and that we'd be able to use it. It was also amazing to talk to someone else who is in Texas as that's where i grew up and my family including my brother lives. The freight company who delivered was amazing. We haven't installed this yet but we did inspect the boxes and everything looks wonderful!! The glass is super thick and has a beautiful frosted look.
