This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. Why install a surface-mounted toilet paper holder that completely sticks out from the wall when you can have one that sits recessed inside the wall? This classic toilet paper holder does the job and won't go out of style. Now is the perfect time to upgrade. Quick and simple installation using two screws that are provided and screw through two pre-drilled holes in the back. Plastic anchors are also provided just in case, but it's always best to screw directly into the wood if possible. Installs into the wall between the studs for a neat, recessed appearance.

The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. It works great! For the price, it’s a great value. The fan works perfectly, and as other reviews have stated, it’s not loud on one or two, but it does get loud at three and up. I do wish the controls were a little more intuitive but one thing I love is that the same controls are on both sides of the vent (one set front left, one set back right), so it doesn’t matter which way it’s installed, and you can access buttons from the left or right.
