But it also offers function: the large single bowl ensures maximum workspace for cleaning bulky or oversized dishes. Our ultra-durable and dense fireclay is fired up to 2100°F and protected with our proprietary finish that safeguards and adds strength.

An attractive sink at a good price. This is a fireclay sink, which means it is fired at a lower temperature than a porcelain sink, but at a higher temperature than a ceramic sink. Higher temps increase hardness and durability. This becomes apparent as this sink will stain if left soiled overnight, unlike a porcelain sink which you can rinse and wipe clean. It is not a big deal as it does come clean with some bleach cleaner and a sponge. I am happy overall. Note: I bought a sturdy stainless steel sink grid, not included, to protect the bottom from nicks and scratches (~$50), which I recommend. Can be used as a trivet or a cooling rack as well.. Excellent value! With free shipping, this item was shipped fast and arrived with no damage. There are four boxes, one box for each glass section, a box for the hardware, and a tube container for the plastic stopper. The weight and thickness of the glass is impressive. Be careful and measure the shower accurately. I was concerned about the door being the correct size, but it fit like a glove. It's a two person job to install. The online installation video is VERY helpfull and EZ to follow. For me, the drilling of the holes was the hardest part. I needed four tile drill bits to make eight holes. My suggestion, add one more green tile anchor as a spare. I wasted one because it would not go into the drill hole and was damaged.
