I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet. Beautiful look and color of chair! Traditional style and lines. However I think there is a flaw in the design. Others said in reviews that it was a very deep chair. The bottom cushion is very firm, almost overstuffed and the back cushion is very soft. So when you sit down, you create an opening between the top cushion and bottom cushion of at least 1-2 inches. You can touch the back wood of the chair with your fingers. My low back was not supported at all then. Tried adding a small pillow and that made it somewhat better. Very deep seat which is nice if you’re putting your feet up, but otherwise my feet did not touch the ground (5 ft 6 in). This oversized chair was the perfect size for my alcove and the color is nice and neutral. The one bracket was a little bent but fixed easily with a mallet. Some of the cushions were packed inside the back part of the chair and were hard to pull out. A screw needed to be removed before pulling the cushions otherwise it wouldve torn the fabric pulling it out. I wish there was a fabric flap that could be attached to cover up the space where the cushions were packed because I imagine dirt and debris are going to get caught up inside. Great buying experience !!! I couldn’t be more pleased. I bought two of these in the light gray for my living room. They shipped via FEDEX and they actually arrived a day earlier than was initially indicated. They are very well package. ( two boxes for each chair, so I got four boxes total They ship the two arms in one box, and they put the base, back, and back cushion in the Assembly was very straightforward. Took me about an hour to complete both chairs ( about 30 minutes each ). The seat is a very good firmness-though I suspect it will get softer as it gets more broken-in. But honestly i like a good firmness seat cushion like this. The light gray color is pretty true to the ad photos, and the fabric itself has a good feel to it. It’s a smooth easy comforting feel. I love this arm chair. It is very well made and the fabric is very soft. The foam cushion is removable ànď comfortable to sit. This chair is wider and very nice for any person with a little more weight. Service and delivery was fast ànd due to my hospitalization is took a lot longer to write the review.
