Absolutely beautiful, black, solid wood table! It is not engineered wood or cheap MDF. Very easy to assemble. Just add the four legs. One of the two support pieces that go on the underside of the table came unattached during shipping but it was easy to rescrew it back into place. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. So we returned that table and another table arrived about five days later and everything was great with it so Wayfair itself is great. FedEx probably needs to be a little more careful. Great quality table, wood looks amazing. Beware the table is extremely heavy. Needed help to get the package into my apartment, as well as after assembly to flip it over (~140 pounds). Also do not assemble over carpet, a bunch of black “soot” came out from the inside of the legs and was covered on the outside of them, needed to wipe them clean and wipe all the soot off the floor afterwards. Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. I wanted a pedestal base, an oval or round top with a leaf, cream/off-white with a dark wood top. it either had to match my existing chairs or have chairs without fabric. I also had a budget in mind. I know I'm extremely picky. I have been looking on and off for the right table for almost 4 years. Even after I order the table I texted my husband and said I'm probably going to hate it. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived unexpectedly early on Saturday morning and we put it together easily. 2 bolts per foot and 4 bolts for the top. nothing was damaged in shipping and the table is an almost perfect match to the existing pieces in the room. The base is a little more on the white/gray side then cream but in the shade of the table its not noticeable. We will most likely always have the leaf in but the mechanism worked fine and everything fit together well and it feels sturdy. We'll see how it holds up to my kids, but hopefully because it already has a distressed feel any damage they do will blend in.. Stephanie. US. Tue Feb 25 2025
