I’m 72 and put this together myself. The instructions didn’t always match the picture guide, but I did get it together. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is from the very first screws I inserted there was some of the cabinet that flaked up. But once the screw was in place it wasn’t noticeable. It seems very sturdy. I have cement floors and had to add sliding pads to make it level. The back metal poles have a place to screw something in but nothing was included? It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. I’d say it’s pretty good, not necessarily great. Seems like it “could” hold 660 lbs since it’s a very sturdy seeming MDF but it’s still JUST MDF and ONE steel support bar. Some of the cam locks were really hard to get in all the way and are now locked but not in a smooth way that gives me the peace of mind I hoped for ordering a stand specified to hold aquarium. I build quite a bit of order online furniture and this one wasn’t the smoothest. Luckily I’m just holding a 15 gallon tall aquarium on it currently and it’s more than ample strength for that. This small animal home was far better than expected. It is gorgeous and very functional by allowing ample storage under. The tray comes up to keep moisture from going over the sides, although small animals could kick paper bedding over the side. It is a really easy to clean dwelling. We have tried lots of different systems for guinea pigs in the past, this has been by far the best. We have two guinea pigs (they are on the smaller side) in this home, and they love it. Overall it’s a decent cage. It’s attractive, and I believe my Senegal Parrot (Zazoo) will enjoy it. We are moving to a new house in a different city and hour away. I currently have a high end powder coat cage that has much thicker bars and overall heavier construction. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. The directions were okay, but I had to look at a photo of the cage for installation of the cage locks. It ended up being very easy. I think for the price, the cage is worth it.. Mark Wilson.
