We got our 30” range a week ago. It shipped out the same day I bought it, and arrived well-protected in lots of packaging. We were anxious about buying it sight unseen, but it is everything the website claims. I have always cooked on gas, and of course anticipated induction would be slow, etc. Instead, the learning curve for me is how incredibly fast and responsive the cooktop is. It’s kind of amazing. I’m very happy to have an electric oven that doesn’t vent like gas, as well - I can bake sourdough loaves free-form since the oven holds steam. And we love no longer having the inevitable “small leakages” of propane in the house. Overall, the range is gorgeous and high quality. I’m still puzzled, though, about the timer for baking/cooking. If I’m correct, there is a single timer available? I haven’t had time to explore that further yet - but I can’t imagine why on an electronic appliance there wouldn’t be at least a few timers available, and easily accessible (for all sorts of things - not just cooking with the range). I was shocked (though I obviously shouldn't have been) to see that the water and electrical hookups had moved completely, making the install much more complicated for me. On the other hand, the newer leveling procedure is much nicer. Of course, we're still just getting used to it, but I fully expect this new Benchmark version to last at least as long as the old "800" model did, and be just as easy to live with. (Full disclosure, the old one would still be running fine if "someone" hadn't taken a tumble on the open door!) So far, my only quibble (and it's a large one) is that the Delay Start button has been moved to ONLY the app and is no longer on the control panel. At least let it be part of your Favorites settings! Our default has been to set a 2 hour delay when we start the dishwasher, but I doubt I'll be willing to use the app just to do that. I LOVE the new interior lighting!. Ericb. Fri May 01 2026
