We love the look and its heat. Installation was easy. We do find we have a burned off propane smell, but we solved this by having an air purifier next to it, makes us feel its safer that way. The propane industry may tell us all its safe to breathe those off gases, but like now known re natural gas, its better to not have those, so I would always suggest a good gas removing air purifier in the room, just my opinion.. This has a nice, slim clearance, works great, and heats a room quickly. My only 2 complaints are that the highest brightness setting on the orange/real flame is not very bright. 2nd, there is a warning sticker front and center above the flame that I assume would peel off, but when I started to remove it, it was silver beneath indicating it wasn't meant to be removed. First, I have an arched fireplace opening, and I was told that these doors would not fit on it. After taking extensive measurements and figuring out all the angles and opening sizes, I was confident this would fit. The package came in great shape, and all the parts, nuts, bolts, and accessories were in the box. The doors fit into the opening, and the arch was covered, which was a great relief. Using the brackets provided, and because of the arch, I decided to drill holes with my rotary hammer and screw the door brackets into the masonry brick. Everything fit perfect and the doors were secured in place. I added the screens, and the job was done. For a square fireplace, I would highly recommend these doors. We’re extremely happy with the Touchstone Sideline Elite fireplace. The flame looks very realistic and bright, and being able to adjust the flame speed is a great feature. The flame and base color options are excellent and don’t look cheap at all. It’s definitely worth the extra cost compared to cheaper options—this looks and functions like a very high-end fireplace without having to spend thousands more. It added a beautiful, premium touch to our new media wall. It came with a log, driftwood and crystals. So, you can style it however you like. The only downside was the shipping speed. Delivery through Wayfair took about two weeks, which caused some inconvenience. Other than that, the fireplace itself is amazing.
