It came in with a small dent in the bottom side of can and my husband tapped it out with a cloth and rubber mallet because we thought it was small enough and Wayfair had definitely taken the precautions for that not to happen with the way it was packaged so it may have happened again if we shipped it back. Looks pretty good and was very easy to set up. Doesn’t come with batteries, that was a bit annoying. Reasons for not giving a 5 it’s not as smart as other trash cans I’ve used where if you open it and it senses that you’re still emptying something, it will stay open. This one just closes after the number of seconds, on top of your hands. You can keep it open but you have to push the Open thing and then it doesn’t close automatically, you have to push Close to close it. I searched carefully for a trashcan that would both look good in the kitchen and be the right size for a small household (1- 2 people). This one is perfect. I chose platinum because I didn’t want it to be too shiny. It fits the aesthetic of my bathroom with brass fittings without having the entire can be gold-colored. My two gripes with this trash can are 1. It feels relatively flimsy compared to stainless steel bathroom trash cans I've had in the past and 2. The texture of the gold paint on the trash can trim is not very smooth. At this price point, a Kohler or simple human bathroom step trash can are a lot better value. Have had this for about a month now and has been used heavily with 2-3 bags of trash a day with my large family. I researched for a good week every day looking at styles and comparing brands and then comparing prices and similar styles etc. I almost missed this one and was happy to find to find it since a lot of my hardware in the house are by this brand giving a true seamless look. The quality is fantastic and I’ve got zero complaints after a month of use. It’s very much a true fingerprint less style and the few times it’s looked like a blemish or print it’s quickly and easily wiped out looking brand new again. If you’re doing something that has you wanting an open top instead of a pedal it’s super easy to flip the top up into the lock/hold position to keep it open as well as when you change bags and just as easy to flip it back down. It’s sturdy, and so nice looking most everyone hasn’t recognized it to be a garbage can!
