These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. Beautiful quality and perfect for a DIY standing desk I purchased this unfinished Acacia butcher block to use as the desktop for a standing desk build, and the final outcome is absolutely beautiful. Right out of the gate, the delivery was incredibly fast. The packaging was also fantastic—it was heavily protected and arrived in much better shape than other wood countertops I’ve purchased in the past. When I first lifted it, I noticed it was a bit lighter than I expected for solid wood. This is actually a huge positive; it tells me the manufacturer used a proper, thorough drying process, which means the wood is stable and much less likely to warp over time. The wood itself is extremely high quality. The block had one side with a perfectly formatted, gorgeous grain pattern, which I immediately chose as the top facing side for my desk. Since it comes unfinished, I applied my own oil and wax. As you can see in the photos I uploaded, the finish brought out the rich, natural colors of the Acacia perfectly. Have been using End Grain Acacia Solid Wood Cutting Board by another brand since December 2024 and it was the best buy I ever made. I purchased this Howard End Grain one as it was on sale and just in case I need a new board in the future. It comes very well packed as you can see in the photos. I have two sizes of cutting boards 17x13 and 15x20 and they are on different sides of my kitchen counters and I do everything on them. It is much better than the plastic cutting board as you can see the plastic coming off the board as you cut your vegetables, meat or chicken on it. Exhibiting a warm, rustic appearance, the board will look charming on display in your kitchen, as well as serve its users. **Use & Care** Wash Ironwood Gourmet products in warm, soapy water and thoroughly rinse with clean water. Do not soak. To dry, prop up off of counter to allow all surfaces to air dry evenly. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher. After drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with Ironwood Butcher Block Oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.

Quality butcher block style table top at a great price. I took a bit of a flyer on the cinnamon stain - it was not pictured on the web site, but was lower cost than the others, so I took a chance.
