As a general contractor with decades of experience under my belt, I've installed a multitude of range hoods in varying spaces and designs. Most recently, I was entrusted with fitting the 36" 600 CFM Convertible Under Cabinet Range Hood in Stainless Steel in a rather challenging, tight space for a discerning client. This task had the potential to become a daunting endeavor, but the moment the range hood arrived, it was clear that this would not be the case. The overall design of the range hood is impeccable, sleek, and modern, adding a visually striking element to any kitchen. The stainless steel construction not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also guarantees durability and longevity, a quality always appreciated by clients. Two bright LEDs shine a light on your stovetop for better cooking visibility. During the past years, range hoods have been a very popular choice for kitchen upgrades and new builds.

This thing is heavy duty, had some installation issues as the bolt pattern was a little different than the unit i replaced. The instructions don't mention what all the hardware is for but I recommend getting an extra long screw extension and some screws with washer built in. The angle brackets they included for what i assume is a cabinetless setup came in handy to hold it up while I got the top screws in. Its quite heavy compared to old unit needed to reinforce cabinet to hold the weight. Also cut off the plug to do a direct wire install. Performance is very good so far and not very loud. The only think I am not crazy about is the bright halogen lights, they should be further back so it illuminates whole stove more than your eyes. Overall this is a solid unit in its price range and I can finally put battery back in my smoke detector. And that's a good thing. I love that this is 24 inches deep, covers my entire kitchen as opposed to those dinky microwave ones that only come out 15". when you burn the tortilla on the front burner, maybe half of it gets sucked up and everyone in the house knows what's going on. this is strictly a hard wired unit, as most are (meaning its not plug n play). PROS: With this one, no-one upstairs can tell what you're cooking!! comes with vent to hood connection. even on low its great. lights are bright. Cons: 3 speeds, loud, louder, and loudest. (some might mind this) Only one light setting, no brightness. No clock on this one. Instructions suck, not for your average DIYer. This con is the worse and almost a dealbreaker for me: the vent connection is an inch from the back wall, thus making it very difficult for this hood to be vented out the back. I had to cut out the back of my cabinet to allow for a flex pipe to connect to it, then make the sharp 90 that exits the wall. If they could go back to the drawing board and push this out a couple of inches, that would help a lot of people. theres plenty of room on the inside so i don't see why they designed it so close to the back. also, the puny screws they included in the bag to mount the hood are a joke. you will wanna upgrade those. and the wire nuts included are the blue ones meant for small gauge wire. no way youre connecting the 14awg stranded that came with the unit to another 14awg solid much less a 12 solid. I had two issues with the installation. One was the cardbord template they supplied, it was a little bit off on one hole location. Remeasure all the location holes on the hood to confirm the actual location points. The other was the 6 inch exaust outlet. My 6 inch exaust pipe was very difficult to fit over it, since both had the same dia. However there are special adaptor rings available from your hardwood store, so they fit properly together. This is my first baffle filter hood, looks great and overall satisfied with all the functions and performance .
