This dining table has a vintage charm and perfect simplicity. Its warmth in a classic finish will anchor any dining room or kitchen, allowing for creative and colorful décor choices. Table looks good, however the top is made from small sections of wood pieced together. Solid, yes, however whatever happened to using full-length boards?
Also, assembly only required inserting 8 bolts into leg inserts, however there seemed to be a 'crossed thread' problem with 2 of the 8 inserts that 'seized up' when the bolts were only about halfway in. The thread size was metric, and I only had standard American sized taps, so I had to take the leg off and insert the bolt into the defective inserts and crank them through before bolting the legs on, again. This worked, however just a bit more of a sloppy tap job on the inserts and it might have ruined the threads of the bolt. There's no way, of course, to replace the inserts, and you are only given 8 bolts. One defective part and the table can't be assembled.
That being said, I did assemble it, and it's now in perfect order. Looks good.. Anonymous. TN. Sat May 15 2021
