This is a strong well made bunk bed. I wish they put extra screws though becase a few broke and I had to improvise. My boys love it and that was the dream. It is a build so prepare, it took about 6 hours to complete it looks great. It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. I got two of these, one for each of my kids rooms. They love them! They especially like the LED light feature. I read that they’d fit 5 inch mattresses on the bottom but I got those and they did not slide in and out very easily at all. Absolutely love the idea of a sectional daybed, and it lives up to its expectations. A great alternative to bunkbeds if your child is afraid of heights. Also great for guests. So far this bed is great. Love the height on it. The only thing I’m worried about is the wheels on the trundle are cheap feeling and only move one direction. It would be nice to have the option to have them move any direction to avoid moving the nightstand every time we want to use it.
