There are small cracks and some of the joints do not line up perfectly and you can see a sliver of light coming though. There are also spots of dry putty that no one bothered to paint over. This sounds like a prime candidate for a return but it does look good if you don't look too closely so I'm going to suck it up and patch the gaps and put a new coat of paint on it.
